An art therapist is an expert when it comes to art therapy. This individual uses creative procedure in boosting the physical mental and emotional well being of patients diverse in age. This person has a good mastery of psychology and human development and operates in his or her own clinic. The clients are of all genders, age groups, class, couples, singles, families and groups in general.

Such a therapist is known to work independently at a clinic, general hospital, schools or other government institutions. In other cases though, they might be many as per the circumstances at hand. All in all, education is a must for an art therapist. The minimum qualification is the baccalaureate degree from a distinguished college in the US or abroad although; a masters in this field is the best option and advantageous. This one only requires two years to complete for those within the above mentioned class.
